I moved to my current country because: Well , I moved here because I found love.I left my big city life in Paris and Dakar (my hometown) for a small city in Sweden where I hope I can mix love and professional life.

The three things you need to make it here is: You have to learn fast. Understanding Swedish helps (even if English is spoken everywhere). Be Smart (in business, in networking, in relationships because everything you do is checked, analyzed and questioned). You also need to be daring and bold.

The Best thing about living in my host country has been:
The nature & the curiosity of the people. The feeling that we can speak the human language together.

My favorite experience living here has been...I live in Malmo, in southern Sweden.  I can make it to two different countries at the same time.  So my favorite experience is travelling the back and forth between Malmo and Copenhagen which is an international window to the world.

If you’re considering living here, what’s one thing you need to know:  As a Black African, our cultures and histories are not very well known here, so we risk constantly being offended and could begin to [isolate]  ourselves if we take into consideration all the remarks and questions.

The biggest lesson I learned as an expat is...
Home is always within us.
